The most common form of resigning from a company or job is through a resignation email. Most people today prefer to resign from their jobs by sending a resignation email. Resignation is an official document which is submitted by an employee when he decides to leave a company or quit his job. One need not face their boss while handing over their resignation if the resignation is sent via an email. There is no difference between a resignation letter and a resignation email except for the fact that the resignation letter needs to be submitted in person whereas the resignation email is sent over the internet and does not require the personal presence of the resigning employee. This saves the resigning employee from facing their boss. However, a resignation is still considered a better method that sending an email for resigning. It is so because a resignation through an email is considered a bit unprofessional but this does not mean that it is invalid. A resignation via email is as valid as a resignation letter handed over personally. The resignation should be handed over prior to leaving the job. Mostly there is a time period fixed by most of the employers or companies which is the minimum time period for giving the notice of resignation. |
